"Helping to build Strong Black Businesses through the spirit of Ujamaa- Co-0perative Economics"

This web site was created to provide an avenue for Black
businesses to support each other in the spirit of
UJAMAA.

Ujamaa, the fourth principle of Kwanzaa - (Cooperative
Economics). "To build and maintain our own stores,
shops and other businesses and to profit from them
together."

Ujamaa is essentially a commitment to the practice of
shared social wealth and the work necessary to achieve
it. Ujamaa literally means familyhood and suggests a
sharing of wealth and work in the manner of a family.

The internet allows us the opportunity to share work
and wealth in a way never before available. On the
pages that follow you will find links that will take you
to sites owned by African American merchants.

Statistics show the we spend over 800 Billions of dollars.
We ask that when you spend your money you consider
spending MORE of it with the merchants in our
community.

Be sure to add your name to our email distribution list,
and when you receive our messages, BE SURE TO PASS
THEM ON !
